The Limelight Quest Competition and the BC Northern Exhibition join forces.

Limelight Quest, the annual competition for the solo singers of Prince George, has made a couple of changes this year. The first is that the finals of the competition will be hosted at the BCNE on Friday, August 19th in Kin 3. The second change is a result of this. The competition will take place in August instead of July, as it has been since its inception in 2011.

Dawn Boudreau, creator of Limelight Quest Competitions, is excited about this partnership, as are the organizers of the BCNE. “The BCNE hosted their own voice competition last year,” says Boudreau. “They approached me about informing the singers from my competition about theirs. I did so, but also suggested that we team up, rather than having 2 summer vocal competitions. They thought it was a great idea! We are really looking forward to the extra excitement for the contestants that will be created by the energy of the annual exhibition! We think it will be a mutually beneficial arrangement for everyone.” Liz Ramsey of the BCNE administration adds, “We are super excited that we have joined forces in making this event happen!”

Limelight Quest also has a new website this year. Check it out at www.limelightquest.com. This is where all the action will be: registrations, rules, prize announcements and more. You can also view links to the previous winners of the competition and even sign up to volunteer for this fun summer community event.
